Calcium propionate can be absorbed by humans and animals through metabolism, and supply calcium necessary for humans and animals. It is considered to be GRAS.

Formula: 2(C3H6O2)·Ca

Appearance: White powder, Easy to absorb moisture. Stable to water and heat.

Soluble in water. Insoluble in ethanol and ethers.

Usage:

1. Food mold inhibitor: As preservatives for breads and pastries. Calcium propionate is easy to mix with flour, As a preservative, it can also provide essential calcium for human body, which plays a role in strengthening food.
