The nano rare-earth light-conversion agent is the core functional material used in light-conversion PO film. Through formulation design, particle-size control, and surface modification, the material is engineered to absorb selected wavelengths of incident light and re-emit energy at targeted wavelengths, enabling controlled modification of the solar spectrum.

The particle size can be customized according to application requirements, with a design range of 50 nm–5 μm. Depending on the formulation, excitation bands can be selected to target specific wavelengths, including ultraviolet light, while emission peaks can be designed around target regions such as 450 nm or 600–700 nm. 

In addition to agricultural films, the material can be used in solar encapsulation films, optical color applications, anti-counterfeiting identification, and light-management technologies.
